E-OCI Card
E-OCI Card
The Government of India launched the Electronic Overseas Citizen of India (e-OCI) Card on 30 June 2026 for both new OCI applicants and existing OCI card holders.

The e-OCI Card incorporates enhanced security features and is integrated with various Government of India systems, including Immigration, to facilitate seamless travel and service delivery.

Holders of an e-OCI Card are not required to carry a physical OCI booklet while travelling to India or while availing OCI-related services.

The e-OCI Card can be downloaded by logging into the OCI Portal at https://ociservices.gov.in/onlineOCI/ or through the official Indian Visa Su-Swagatam mobile application.

Existing physical OCI booklets will continue to remain valid and will be accepted for immigration clearance and all OCI-related services.

New OCI applicants will be issued only an e-OCI Card. No physical OCI booklet will be issued.
