5th Global Exhibition on Services (GES) on 12-14 September 2019 at Bengaluru, Karnataka.

The 5th edition of Global Exhibition on Services (GES) 2019 scheduled to be held from September 18-20, 2019 at the Palace Grounds, Bengaluru, Karnataka. The Minsitry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India in partnership with the Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC) and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organizing this prestigious annual event.


The Exhibition epitomizes the growing importance of services sector in the global economy both in developed and developing countries with significant contribution to GDP, FDI, exports and employment generation. The importance of this sector in the global economy can be gauged from the fact that this sector contributed US $52.6 trillion in world GDP of US $80.7 trillion in 2017.


Hon'ble President of India had inaugurated the last three editions of this celebrated event, which served as a valuable global platform for increasing trade in services, enhancing strategic cooperation and strengthening multilateral relationships amongst all stakeholders. The forthcoming GES 2019 will also provide similar impetus for forging sustained partnerships amongst countries in the 12 identified Champion Services Sectors namely Information Technology & Information Technology enabled Services (IT & ITeS), Tourism and Hospitality Services, Medical Value Travel, Transport and Logistics Services, Accounting and Finance Services, Audio Visual Services, Legal Services, Communication Services, Construction and Related Engineering Services, Environmental Services, Financial Services and Education Services.


The GES 2019 is expected to attract participation from about 100 countries. It is planned to schedule parallel thematic sessions and a large number of B2B, B2G and B2C meetings during the 3 days event. Given that both India and Sweden lay strong emphasis on the services sector, the GES 2019 can be availed as on opportunity for further deepening ties and exploring mutually beneficial ideas and concepts.
