About Us Police Clearance Certificate

Police clearance certificates are sometimes sought from Indian nationals for work, residence permits or for student visas. Some Foreign Governments or institutions accept only certificates issued by the Embassy and not by police authorities in India.
Processing time: Please note that the PCC will only be issued after receipt of fresh police verification. Applicants are advised to apply well ahead of time as issue of PCC’s would only be done after due police verification.
To obtain a police clearance certificate, the applicants must submit/send to the Embassy the following documents:

Fill in the application form - https://embassy.passportindia.gov.in/

§  One recent passport-size photograph (front view against light background, to be pasted on application form)
§  Self attested copy of passport pages which contain photograph and other personal particulars
§  Self attested copy of valid Visa
§  Submit a proof of bank-giro payment of SEK 229
§  Submit the Police Verification report from the local Police in Sweden/Latvia
§  If the document is to be sent back by post, a self-address and stamped envelope should be enclosed. Person residing in Latvia must send International Coupons along with the application. To make the post registered one must send 11 International Coupons. Coupons less than 11, will not make the post registered, hence, no tracking number would be generated.
§  The same service can be applied for by post also by sending the above-mentioned documents by Registered post along with an envelope for return of the documents.
Note: PCC cannot be submitted and collected on the same day. Kindly make arrangement in advance to avoid any last-minute issues.

Applicants are requested to pay the fee for the service(s) requested, through online bank transfer to given below account number. 
It is mandatory to give the following details in the Message box (Meddelande box) of the transaction sheet.
