About Us Visa Application Procedure

1. Applicants may please note, all visa applications have to be filled online at link given below:

2. Check list for making a visa application:

  • The original passport valid for more than 6 months from the date of submission of application with minimum of 2 blank pages. 
  • Two passport –size photograph with front view against light background, not older than six months.(one to be pasted on the application and the other to be attached)

5. Visa fees must be paid directly to the Embassy of India to Sweden and Latvia in Stockholm:

The Embassy does not accept cash/cheque at the visa counter. Applicants are requested to pay fee for the service requested through BANK-GIRO only and enclose a copy of the proof of payment along with the application documents.

  • Visa clearance form and copy of personbevis (for non-Swedish or non-Latvian passport holders or if you hold a Pakistani passport/ Stateless/Travel document).
  • Self addressed envelope without any stamp. (for postal applications)

7. The Embassy takes 3-4 working days to issue all types of visas for Swedish and Latvian passport holders, provided application forms are complete in all respects. During peak season (mid-August to mid-January), 4-7 working days may be required for Swedish and Latvian passport holders. 

Note: It may take minimum 45-50 days for Pakistani origin/Pakistani passport holders, and 30-40 days for Swedish alien passport and Swedish travel document holders, after uploading the application for clearance from concerned authorities
